The Siren of Dathomir
We here at Holosuite are happy to spread the word about an upcoming fan project called the Siren of Dathomir by Joe Hogan.
As announced today on the ForceCast, and in the teaser trailer for my unofficial Star Wars motion comic, “The Siren of Dathomir”, some of the best Clone Wars television series cast members will be lending their voices to the project.
Master Jedi and voice actor James Arnold Taylor will not only be reprising his role as the beloved Obi-Wan Kenobi, but will also be (metaphorically) donning the white armor and twin blasters of the protagonist, ARC trooper Captain Fordo. Renowned voice actor Tom Kane is also lending his signature voice to Master Yoda: the Jedi Master he’s given life to for the last decade on television and video games. Finally, I’m particularly pleased to announce that Catherine Taber (who Clone Wars viewers recognize as Padme Amadala) will be taking on the role of the titular Siren of Dathomir herself. Catherine is no stranger to playing a Nightsister, and I’m beyond excited for her to breathe life into the project’s villain.
I’m so blessed to have them as part of the project, and it’s a lot of pressure to live up to! With folks like them providing top-notch audio, I certainly can’t slouch on the quality of the visuals! Before you guys ask, Mr. Dee Bradley Baker (the amazing voice of all the Clone Troopers on TCW) was unavailable for the project, as his schedule is a busy one, and I truly appreciate his consideration! Don’t be too disappointed, though. When you hear James’ performance of everyone’s favorite ARC Trooper, you’ll still be pretty floored! I know I am!
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank James for going above and beyond for this project. He took on so much responsibility for TSOD, and it’s going to be lightyears more amazing because of him. James, you are the man.
So, now do you guys know why I’ve been so excited? Keeping this a secret for 3 months has NOT been easy! Stay tuned for more on my “The Siren of Dathomir” fan motion comic!
