Gearbox honors late fan

by | on Jul30 2012

I read a Destructoid article today, regarding the passing of a young man named Michael John Mamaril. Michael passed away from cancer at the far to young age of 22, and he with his friend Carlo were both huge Borderlands fans. Carlo, believed a fitting way to honor his friends passing would to be to have Claptrap, the snarky little robot from the Borderlands series, read a eulogy for his friend. To achieve this he sent a letter to Gearbox in the hopes that they would fulfill his request. They did more than that. Micheal will be honored by having an NPC named after him appear in the upcoming game Borderlands 2. You can also hear the Eulogy read by Claptrap below.
